50 Year Costs

To create a full picture of the costs of maintaining the TEP Sisson Mansion over the next 50 years, the following financial model was created.

All the one time or repeating projects that need to be completed over the next 50 years were identified.  Each project was given the following:

• Cost of the project.
• Offset – How long before the project needed to be addressed in years.
• Recurrence – After the project was completed, how many years until it needed to be completed again?

A project called Miscellaneous was added every 5 years at a cost of $10,000 to address projects that came up unexpectedly or for projects that ran over cost estimates.

A spreadsheet was then created to calculate the total cost of each project over the next 50 years.  The total of the 50 years costs were totaled and divided by 50 to create the Average Yearly Maintenance Cost (AYMC) for the TEP Sisson Mansion.
