Hi everyone! My name is Luke Faulkner, I live in Buffalo, NY currently working as a Sales Engineer for Johnson Controls. In my free time, I run an (amateur) cooking channel on YouTube, play video games, and also try to get outside and enjoy nature walks. I am quite active on social media and enjoy having a strong social media presence. I am currently sporting my quarantine hair and stache from my picture, not as impressive as I want, but it happens.
I am currently living with my girlfriend for the summer, she will be moving back to Potsdam to complete her Masters in Spring 2021. I have 2 cats (crazy cat person confirmed) and have family in Syracuse, NY.
As an active, I served as a social chair for the 2018 year. One of the main things I did while I was social was to build bridges with the fraternities and sororities in the area to help with good connections that could last past my years. I was also responsible for being Historian during the 50th anniversary and developed a slideshow for everyone to watch after. I was social media chair from Fall 17- Fall 18 for our social media account (@clarksontep) where I was posting updates of the fraternity, rush events, and also acknowledging brothers' accomplishments and birthdays. I also made sure to manage the risk of what brothers were posting to ensure the values of Friendship, Chivalry, and Service were being maintained on social media. I still remain close to the actives and will check up on them every now & then to see how everything is going.
I have been on the mentoring board for the alumni reaching out to actives to help out in situations regarding social activities or managing the fraternity to insure overall success. I go up to Potsdam at least two-three times a semester to visit my girlfriend (my excuse to go visit the house) and will always stop by at the house to check in and also relive my glory days. I will attend house meetings while there and weigh in on any situations that I think I can be of assistance on giving my opinion.
Since my first time coming out to TEP as a freshman, I fell in love with the brotherhood and the house. I believe it is our duty as alumni to help and serve the actives to ensure the success of our brotherhood. I am someone that the current actives trust to go to whenever they have problems and I believe that I could be a great addition to the board with my strengths.
